Ebook Readers
My favorite ebook readers are Kobo and Aldiko. Search for these in Google Play or in the Apple App Store. If you have the Kobo app on your iPad or iPod, you cannot buy ebooks directly from the app. You will have to go to http://www.kobobooks.com to buy and then download to your Kobo for offline reading.

*Why sell my ebooks at low cost?
… because I have learned lots from established writers and I want to pack what I learn from various books and to disseminate the relevant information to as many people as possible. I have added my own observations, reflections, thoughts and ideas in the books as well. The writing in these ebooks are authentically mine and I have also prepared the covers for the books myself. I see the following three ebooks more like tracts since the materials do not make up a novel-size book. Also, most of the materials were writings that I did over time and it was easy to collate them into these self-published ebooks.

Most of my writing is on spirituality. It is costly to get good reading materials in this field at low cost in Singapore. A book that gets shipped out from Amazon could well be in the region of USD 20-40 per book (including shipping). Hopefully, my “tracts” will bring information in various topics such as prayers, spiritual direction, writing, ageing issues, and more in future, to many people.

Why publish with Smashwords?
… because Smashwords accept independent writers and there is no cost involved to publish my book. The steep learning curve was in the formatting of my Microsoft Word document so that their ebook conversion software can convert the Word document into an ebook format. I had to do several revisions before the books could get on their “Premium” list. Getting into their “Premium” list just means that the book can be distributed to other ebook sellers such as Apple iBookstore, Barnes & Noble, Sony R eader Store, Kobo, the Diesel eBook Store, Baker & Taylor’s Blio and Axis360 (libraries).

Smashwords also provide a free ISBN for each book that I publish with them.
